Visualization

This concept of practice is quite advanced, but it can really cut down your practice time, so we will share it with you here.

When you practice, before you play a single note, you must have the mental image of what it is that you want your fingers to do when you practice.

You need to visualize in your mind what your about to do, and it needs to be clear enough that you could say it out loud – saying it out loud may even help.

We recommend the learn & master guitar course if you're looking to master the guitar as quickly as possible. To find out more, click here.

This focusing technique will keep you on track of what your doing, and help speed up muscle memory, as you will be visualizing what you want to happen – and then making it happen.

This has been proven to work time and time again.

Many great athletes also use this technique to great effect, too. It’s certainly something you may like to try and see the results for yourself.
