Making Time For Fun When You Learn Guitar

In this article we would like to talk about one of the most important parts of learning and playing guitar.

You need to have fun!

If you’re not having fun, then you need to do something else for awhile. Fun is an important part of learning guitar.

Especially when you’re practicing.

We recommend the learn & master guitar course if you're looking to master the guitar as quickly as possible. To find out more, click here.

If you’re new to playing guitar but serious about learning quickly, then you may endlessly practice chords and scales and theory and learn songs. But you need to keep it fun at all times.

Why?

Because if you’re not having fun you’re going to loose your desire to play guitar sooner or later. We have all met people who have just become jaded because they don't get enough fun in life. So remember to take breaks from practice, and just PLAY guitar for awhile.

You want to be a master guitar player. Not a master guitar practicer.

Right?

Okay, so it is true that you need a balance between the two. This is because by practicing you will become a better guitar player, and have more fun with your new skills.

But if you ever find yourself feeling like you’re not progressing, or you’re stuck in a rut – ask yourself if it’s because you’re not playing for fun and enjoyment of music anymore.

Maybe you’re “training” yourself too hard.
